Are You Saved?

My friend, perhaps you would ask, "Can a person really and truly know 100 % that they are going to Heaven when they die?" My answer would be yes! How can I say yes? How can a person know for sure? It really is as easy as taking Jesus at His word, "Repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15)

FIRST, you must agree with God that you are a sinner. ̃ "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Rom. 3:23)

NEXT, you must realize you can not save yourself.

̃ GOOD WORKS are insufficient: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph. 2:8-9)

̃ RELIGION & SACRAMENTS are insufficient: "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" (Titus 3:5)

̃ KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS is insufficient: "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Rom. 3:20)

© ONLY JESUS can save your soul: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

YOU MUST UNDERSTAND that anything short of salvation by Jesus alone will simply end in Spiritual death, and eternal separation from God FOR EVER in hell:

 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:23)

 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matt. 10:28)

HOWEVER (this is the good part, friend!), Jesus paid for your sins!

† "For he (God) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Cor. 5:21)

† "Who (Jesus) his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Pet. 2:24)

© "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

SO WHAT SHOULD OUR RESPONSE BE?

†  REJOICE! REPENT! AND RECEIVE CHRIST!

†  "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift." (2 Cor. 9:15)

†  "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15)

† "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:12-13)

IT IS NOT GOD’S WILL that you perish, but that you be saved. And the Bible tells us He is waiting for you to come to him even now.

© "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Pet. 3:9)

WHAT GOOD REASON DO YOU HAVE FOR NOT RECEIVING JESUS CHRIST AS A LOVE GIFT FROM GOD RIGHT NOW? For surely the Scriptures we have shared with you prove that’s exactly what He is. Believe the Word of God, and whole-heartedly take Him as your Saviour & Lord, simply telling God, "Thank-you!"

God loves you and He proved that by sending His Son to die on the Cross in your place. When you receive Christ, your sin debt is paid in full and you receive God’s gift of eternal life in a place called Heaven!

It truly is wonderful! You truly can know for sure that you will go to Heaven when you die!

IF YOU ACCEPT THE ABOVE AS TRUE, AND ARE WILLING TO REPENT OF YOUR SINS (agree with God that you are a sinner, in need of a Saviour, confess this to Him, tell Him you are sorry, AND that you are ready to change and live according to His Word), THEN WITH A SINCERE HEART PRAY A SIMPLE PRAYER LIKE THIS ONE:

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner, and I deserve to go to hell. I know that I need Your forgiveness. I do believe Jesus died for my sin. I do believe He rose again from the dead, proving You accepted His sacrifice. I do believe the Bible is true. The best I know how, right here and now I want to turn from my sinful life, and put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the cross of Calvary as payment for all my sin. Thank-you, Jesus, for loving me, forgiving me, and saving me. In Your name, Amen.

PERHAPS YOU ARE WONDERING, "Is that ALL I have to do?" Friend, all you need to remember is that you have His promise on it:

̃ "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12).

̃ "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ (Rom. 10:13)
