History of Calvary Baptist Bible College

In the year 1981, Rev. Chandrasekhar Eda along with his wife Irene started church planting ministry in and  around the city of Bombay. After eight years of church ministry, Rev. Chandrasekhar Eda saw a great to need to train up men and women to serve the Lord. After much prayer, in the year 1989,  Calvary Baptist Bible College started with three faculty and five students.

          The Calvary Baptist Bible College is located in Karjat around 40 minutes drive from Mumbai.  Mumbai is the largest metropolitan city with the population of 17 Million. Mumbai is called as India within INDIA. People from four corners of India flock to this city to make their living. Mumbai is known as a financial capital of Indian with strong business and Industry. This  city has a great opportunity to plant churches in any language group . The city is well connected with the rest of the world by land, sea and air. Mumbai is also called as a “city that never sleeps.”

          The college is located in its own 12 acre campus. The campus is located in midst of lush green mountains with a beautiful scenic view.
